TSM TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. is an AS9100D-certified manufacturer and global supplier specializing in precision-engineered nickel alloy fasteners for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.
What is Nickel alloy bolt?
Nickel alloy bolts are high-strength fasteners made from nickel-based superalloys (e.g., Inconel®, Hastelloy®, Monel®, etc.) that can withstand extreme temperatures, corrosive media, and high mechanical stresses. Nickel alloys are a special metal alloy class with nickel content usually higher than 20%. This makes them particularly effective in preventing corrosion in acidic and saltwater environments, and they are also very stable in high-temperature environments. Therefore, nickel bolts are known for their unique high strength and high temperature corrosion resistance.
The most commonly used types of nickel alloy bolts are:
*Hexagon head bolts
*Hexagon socket screws
*Flange bolts
*Stud bolts
*Custom bolts
Technical Specifications
🔹Dimensions: Diameter M3–M48, Length: 10–500mm.
🔹Thread Types: Both metric and imperial thread options are available.
🔹Finish: Options include natural, polished, or coated finishes to enhance performance in specific environments.
🔹Material Grades:
Many nickel alloys contain chromium, molybdenum, and iron in addition to nickel to enhance corrosion resistance, strength, and high-temperature stability. Higher chromium content helps improve oxidation resistance, while the addition of molybdenum enhances resistance to reducing acids.
✔ Hastelloy
Hastelloy bolts are corrosion resistant and offer a wide range of acid resistance. Hastelloy C276 is the most common and widely used bolt, offering protection in a wide range of harsh reducing and acidic environments, and is commonly used in sulfuric and hydrochloric acid environments.
✔ Incoloy
Incoloy bolts are designed for long-term high temperature exposure and have good corrosion resistance, and are commonly used in seawater, brine, acid gas, and high chloride environments at high temperatures. Incoloy is often seen as an economical alternative to Inconel bolts; however, the price is lower and its corrosion resistance, strength, and high temperature resistance are also lower.
✔ Inconel bolts
Inconel bolts bring significant improvements to the industry in terms of corrosion resistance and strength. Inconel 625 has corrosion resistance close to the corrosion resistance level of Hastelloy C276 in terms of corrosion resistance. Inconel 625 bolts protect against stress corrosion, crevice corrosion, and pitting, and can be used in a variety of corrosive environments, including sulfuric, hydrochloric, and phosphoric acids, depending on temperature and concentration.
Nickel 200 fasteners are primarily used in applications involving contact with caustic soda and are made from pure industrial nickel. In addition to being resistant to alkaline solutions, these fasteners are also resistant to anhydrous hydrofluoric acid.
Application areas
Nickel alloy bolts are widely used in many industries and fields due to their excellent physical and chemical properties, including:
Aerospace
Electronic and electrical equipment
Food processing or food supply equipment
Marine and seawater equipment
Pump and valve components
Equipment and components exposed to chemicals, acids and other corrosive substances
Automobile manufacturing, exhaust systems, engine components and other high-heat equipment
